CONSTRUCTION OF ONE ROOM SHELTERS

In Nov 2011, YMSESDO was trusted to be signed in coordination with UNHCR / Saudi assistance fund 300 one room permanent shelters including with the same number of Latrines and kitchen to be built in UC KarriyaFerri Tehsil Gandakha District Jaffarabad. YMSESDO selected the extreme vulnerable HHs such as women, elderly people, child and disabled headed HHs. The project completed within its prescribed time. The required number of shelters has been built according to their cultural and seasonal acceptability. Project has been completed in close coordination with PDMA, Revenue Department and social welfare department. Community was also involved aiming towards creating a sense of local ownership. No social dispute was created over the selection of beneficiaries to be provided one room shelter and YMSESDO constructed 300 one room shelters for flood affected communities.
