Immunization Campaign

Immunization is the process whereby a person is made immune or resistant to an infectious disease, typically by the administration of a vaccine. Vaccines stimulate the body’s own immune system to protect the person against subsequent infection or disease. Through PAIMAN project YMSESDO has been involved with Govt Health Deptt: to prepare macro and micro level plans for field teams to launch immunization campaigns, on other hand YMSESDO also identify its volunteer staff to monitor the field level campaign in District Jaffarabad. After monitoring visits and completion of campaign for TT, Measles and polio campaign YMSESDO also conduct meeting with THQs and health facilities at village level to collect data of vaccination to identify the gapes. In this regard if any gape found in collected data, district health office has also been discussed and strategy planned to overcome the gape. In order to keep aware people with immunization campaigns, display of posters and banners in outreach areas has also been an important part. To raise awareness YMSESDO also conducted awareness raising and advocacy walks in various areas of district.
